The Turnout
Monday nights at The Secret Society just got more eventful. We are introducing four new regular shows. Enjoy some local storytelling at Front Porch Sessions or Invisible Spectrum, listen to interviews; stand-up comedy and music at Live N Portland and come out to see Broke Gravy, one of the hottest improv trio’s in Portland! Help us celebrate all of the beautiful people that make up this city of ours. Discover all of the diverse voices and perspectives that Portland has to offer. Show up for the Turnout!
Broke Gravy - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Broke Gravy
“Broke Gravy is a Portland-based improv group that mixes the unique experiences of our audience with narrative, relationship, and the unexpected to create a show that is always surprising and new.”
Adam Pasi - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Adam Pasi
Adam Pasi is a Portland comic who is quickly becoming among the most recognized names in Northwest comedy.

Born in Tacoma, WA and raised on army bases on the East Coast and in Germany, Adam’s unique outlook on life allows him to craft absurd yet relatable stories, culminating in admittedly ridiculous calls to arms.

In addition to being a four time finalist in the annual Portland’s Funniest Person Contest (placing 3rd this year), Adam has performed on the Limestone, Wenatchee, and Bridgetown comedy festivals. He was also on the cover of a free newspaper once. He is a regular host at Helium Comedy Club, as well as co-host of a bi-monthly comedy game show Funny Humans vs. The Wheel.

Frequently intense, but never taking himself too seriously, Adam Pasi encourages all who’ll listen to join him in his mostly imaginary, but always amusing crusade against... well, something. Whatever it is, being loud and silly is the only way to fight it.
Marcus Coleman - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Marcus Coleman
Originally hailing from St. Louis (a fact he can’t stop bringing up.) Marcus Coleman was named of Portland’s “Geniuses of Comedy” by the Portland Mercury, he was also chosen to perform in their sold out showcase at the remarkable Revolution Hall.
A laid back shit-talker with a smile, he’s been called a “bright new star” and praised for “sharp, smart jabs on politics, family, and life as a black man” (Portland Mercury).

Among the cool venues he’s been lucky enough to perform are: The Secret Society, Jackpot Recording Studios, Curious Comedy Theater, and Helium Comedy Club; where he was named Dirty Dozen Roast Battle champion and picked as one of their “New Faces”.

He hosts the rowdy and unpredictable Midnight Mic every Friday night at Funhouse Lounge and was recently chosen to replace the beloved Nariko Ott (RIP) as one of the many co-hosts of You're Welcome, a weekly showcase at Mississippi Pizza Pub.
