The Jenny Finn Orchestra plays the vintage danceable swing jazz of the 20’s-40’s with a unique blend of sophisticated vocals, alto sax/flute, archtop and gypsy guitars supported by upright bass and percussion. The JFO is a group of jazz-inspired musicians whose love for these depression-era tunes is enhanced by their eclectic backgrounds that range from straight ahead jazz to jump blues to avant-garde to rock & roll to pop.

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist and music theater veteran Courtney Freed, the virtuoso band members (reeds/flute, guitar, upright bass, drums) have been swinging the Portland vintage dance scene for past 10+ years in a variety of ensembles including The Jenny Finn Orchestra, The Shanghi Woolies, The Little Big Band, The High Water Jazz Band and others.
