James Mason & The Gypsy Hicks
James Mason - Violin
James has played and recorded Bluegrass, Country, Swing and Jazz. In 2014 James won the National Swing Fiddle Championship in Weiser Idaho and The Bob Wills Fiddle Championship in Greenville Texas.

James regularly performs in Portland with Pete Krebs and The Portland Playboys, The Djangophiles, Rebecca Kilgore and various others.

Pete Krebs - guitar and vocals
Two-time Oregon Music Hall of Fame inductee, Pete Krebs has been a fixture on the Portland music scene since 1987. His musical pursuits have spanned several decades and genres, including punk rock, Western swing, old-time, jazz and folk. His bands have included Thrillhammer, Hazel, Golden Delicious, Pete Krebs and The Gossamer Wings, The Stolen Sweets and Pete Krebs and His Portland Playboys.

He's shared the stage with a broad range of world-class musicians including Nirvana, Elliott Smith, Peter Rowan and The Hot Club of Cowtown. He's performed at venues and festivals large and small, legendary and infamous, including CBGBs, Preservation Hall, Pickathon and Lollapalooza. He's received mostly good press from the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, Magnet and No Depression.

Pete Lampe - bass
Holding down the rhythm on upright bass, and giving you those tempos you love to swing to, is Pete Lampe (Midnight Serenaders, The Libertine Belles, The Hot Lovin' Jazz Babies, Becky Kilgore and the Cowhands, The Barn Door Slammers, Djangophiles)... and you'd better believe there's a damn good reason all those great swing bands rely on Pete! Pete literally knows the bass inside and out, and is one of the most respected bass luthiers on the west coast, operating Pete's Upright Bass Shop in Portland, Oregon.

Tracy Kim - guitar
Tracy is a member of The 12th Avenue Hot Club, and The Kung Pao Chickens, and has been involved in many other bands and endeavors over the years including teaching, composing, and producing music, as well as projects in film and commercial scoring. Not only is Tracy well versed in many styles, he is a strong rhythm player, and a very inventive and colorful soloist. He is a co-founder of the Happy Valley School of Music.

The Hot Club Time Machine - (Set time: 6:30 PM)
The Hot Club Time Machine
We come in Peace. The Hot Club Time Machine has come from the Past to teach the Future how to swing!

Organically Grown from long hours of diligent (and boozy) playing, this ensemble formed from a need to embrace the past masters and put our own stamp on the old tunes.

We also scatter our original material throughout the set to keep the well from going dry.

The 'Space Case' will receive your loving contributions and help us fund our long journey home. Peace.

Steve Cleveland: Keys and accordion
Sean Daly: Bass
Russell Gores: Guitar. Vocals, Saw
Bernardo Gomez: Bass

Brenda loves the image of being able to dance anytime, anywhere, to any music, alone, or with anyone. She spends her time living this dream for herself while assisting her students in accomplishing their personal dance goals.
Rose City Sweets
Rose City Sweets
DanceMode Production's Rose City Sweets are a women's dance company that has existed in various iterations since 2005. Lead by Brenda Russell who has been participating in and leading women's dance groups since the year 2000. For women in social dance to be able to dance, to really dance, without needing a man to make it happen is vital for the health of these women and our communities. We all love to feel like a princess when we're waltzed around the room by a partner, and we love to feel like the divas we are as we stand together shaking our things on the stage.
